Usually on the MK7 you flush and fill when the coolant pump or housing leaks. Mine was done at 48,000 miles. Seriously though there is no maintenance schedule for coolant because its a "lifetime" fill. 4-5 years is overkill though. If you really wanted to change it I wouldn't do it until 8-10 years. ****The Official MKVII Golf and GTI DIY/FAQ

This guide will show you how to perform an oil change on the 2.0L EA888 Engine. This engine can be found in many different models, including the 8V Audi S3, MK3 Skoda Superb, MK3 Skoda Octavia, MK7 Golf GTI / R and more. Our demonstration vehicle is a MK7 Golf R. I'd run a VW 502 oil like Castrol 0W40 and rest easy. Turbo shear is real and considering the motor is spinning 3K+ rpm at 80+ mph I wouldn't go anywhere near a 0W20. I assure you we will be reading about oil consumption very shortly from new 2019 owners adhering to this ridiculous 508 spec. For a sportier style than the SE and that extra bit of comfort, the GT has 17" ‘Dijon’ alloy wheels, front sport seats and ‘Piano Black’ decorative inserts. Used Golf R-Line. The R-Line offers extra sporty styling with specific front and rear bumpers, radiator grill, side skirts, 17" ‘Singapore’ alloy wheels and ‘R-Line’ sport
Currently use Motul Specific 0W20 (VW508) on my 2019 MK7.5 GTI since this is the spec recommended. Lower weight oil does not mean lower quality oil. I would use the spec recommended by VW for your engine code and/or what your tuner recommends if you’re tuned. shadyplz • 3 yr. ago.
My 2002 vw gti golf 1.8t isn't shifting forward or reversing. But I notice my trans fluid wasn't full and with a Lil burnt scent. And here in the Bahamas there's problem's finding and ordering a transmission filter/screener. So they clean it and put it back in. It worked but it back the same. Think it's the transwer fluid? Please help.

If it was really bad don't be surprised if changing the coolant causes problems such as the heater going cold as the new coolant shifts all the dirt that did not come out in the flush.
The car was levelled and it was over flowing, so its full, but i thought there was a bigger oil capacity in that box. If anyone is changing their oil and they need a large allen key to open the gearbox drain and fill nut, its 17mm allen key to open it. Just so ye will know the size.
