The CZ 457 Synthetic sporter stocked version at £430.99 will continue to be the most popular model no doubt, but this version for £704.99, with its symmetrical modern laminate stock of grey/brown, is definitely worth the extra money. It’s a looker, in terms of both design style and the colour of the laminate used. Magazine capacity is five rounds. For test-firing the Model 457 American, I used a Weaver 1-3X scope in CZ steel mounts, and I fired five .17 HMR loads at 50 yards. The results are listed in the accompanying chart, but briefly, the best average accuracy in the test rifle came with the Hornady 17-grain V-Max ammo.
Re: CZ 455 Varmint Review The major parts to whole platform. Switch calibers / barrels, you will have to go this far. Note the "extra" piece of formed metal that goes between the stock and the trigger guard. It is not only a dust cover or guide for the trigger, but actually a trigger adjustment tool that fits in that area. Pretty slick actually

Taking CZ's heavy-barreled rimfire to the next level, the 457 Match Target Rifle gets a bit more attention than the average 457 Varmint. Its Match chamber is cut to the tightest specification that CIP will allow, meaning it will perform impressively well with top-tier ammo. I'm having a hard time justifying spending $2,000 (rifle and glass) on an Anschutz, Winny 52, 40X or Cooper LVT or Jackson Squirrel rifle. I've read some good reviews on the CZ 453 Varmint with the set trigger. I know it maqy not be a "one-holer" but what should it do with premium ammo? I'm looking at the .22lr version.
I'm looking to buy a new rifle in 17 HMR. I'm looking at the Tikka T1X and the CZ 457 (Varmint Pro Boyds stock,) or 457 synthetic suppressor ready. Boyds being about $50, I plan to on a rail and scope (4-16) most likely for paper and occasional squirrel/rabbit. If you own either or both, I'd like some of your feedback.
