Ive tried the optimization advice Age of Empries gave me to set Windows 10 settings to “high performance” for AOE2DE, did not help. I am experiencing very choppy map scroll as well as 2 other friends having the exact same issue. specs: i5 3GHz, 8gb ram, amd rx570 series 8gb vram. Ageof Empires does not run on my version of windows. I understand the normal fix for old games on Win10 there are two settings you want to verify are enabled. Go toPrograms and Features > Turn Windows Features On or Off. and verify that Legacy Components & Direct Play and .NET 3.5 are enabled.

Whywould this belong on the Xbox forums? Age of Empires 2 is a PC game. A fairly old PC game, I'll admit, but a PC game none the less. This seems like an issue of Windows 10 telling me that I don't have permission to run a .exe file.
